White is a popular choice, and looks great with grey units. However, even white can be a considerably variable shade, so it's always a good idea to compare swatches at different times of the day, under both natural and artificial lighting.

Cream is considered a warm neutral, and as grey is a cooler colour, this is why the two balance each other well.

Both Wikipedia and Google's image search say that Dove Gray is gray with a hint of pink or blue in it.

Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray 7016

There are no strong undertones making it the perfect neutral. It is another great light color but a bit darker than Repose Gray. Mindful Gray is also a Sherwin Williams Gray that is often used color on Fixer Upper.

The general rule of thumb is that skin with cool undertones look best with greys, browns, blues, greens and purples. Skin with warm undertones look best with either bright or light colors. And skin with neutral undertones looks great in bold, bright colors.
